"if god wants to heal me he will/can"

Seriously if thats what you believe then get the FuGG out of hospitals and free the bed up for people who dont believe and need actual medical attention.

I am so so Sick fed up of people not realising and not respecting the work of doctors and nurses up and down the country who dont get the decent praise they damn well deserve for healing people day in day out.

Honestly lets wheel all thoses who believe that its gods doing into the churches and let them deal with it.

Any thoughts?

I just went in for a check-up but the lady before me apparently preferred my attire to her own . . . so I made do.

Not really! I would be the one with the cane.

Dam I need to stop with the lies, the flames are already licking at my heels . . . and I ain't even dead yet!
So theres a devout Christian, and he goes for his checkup. His doctor finds a worrying lump and sends him to hospital. He goes in and his doctor follows to check on him. I dont need medical care, he says, Im devout, I pray, God will look after me.

A nurse takes his vitals, and asks how he feels. I dont need medical care, he says, Im devout, I pray, God will look after me.

The consultant comes in to brief him on treatment options. I dont need medical care, he says, Im devout, I pray, God will look after me.

After some time, the lump grows cancerous. His surgeon decides to remove it. I dont need medical care, the man says, Im devout, I pray, God will look after me.

He dies, and goes to heaven. Standing next to St Peter, hes really annoyed, and demands an audience with God. He gets this, and before God can say anything, the man says Im devout, I pray, you were supposed to look after me.

God looks at him and says But I sent you a doctor, a nurse, a consultant and a surgeon. What the hell are you doing here?
Well at least, as a devout Christian, he ended up in heaven.

Perhaps it was worth all the faith and prayer after all.
..........Al-ways look on the bright si-hide of life, de dum, de dum de dum de dum........
Is there any better way to look at it?
Ha! No, there isn't. It's the only way to look on it.
Well so long as non-religionists can look on the bright side too, well all be tickety-boo wont we.
Certainly will.
Just realised my answer above ^ is unfinished - meant to add that that's the type of story you could use is a Christian friend's in hospital and starting to refuse treatment.
. . . just noticed my answer was never finished either . . .

They came to see for themselves if He really was hung like they had heard He was.

"Faith in Doctors or God?"

We are all entitled to our own religious beliefs. We are also entitled to grow from them.

Doctors are existing in God's creation. Why? Might not they be tools of God to aid us in living healthier lives?

Who are we, man, to determine what God can or can't do or can or can't allow?

Have faith in your doctors AND in God but exclusively in neither.
