Whenever I delete a programme from Disk the time left on the disk never changes.(i.e. If I delete a 2 hour programme I still don't have an extra 2 hours to use on disk) Am I doing something wrong? It is a Phillips DVD Recorder and Memorex/Maxell Disks.. Hope this makes sense and Thank You for any replies.

Most machines will only release the space when the disc is re-formatted. That is what I have found when using Sony machines and DVDs in PCs

When you reformat does that clear the whole disk?
