I have a diabetic dog, Ollie was diagnosed just over 2 years ago now and has an insulin injection twice daily, he's and 11year old Silky, the vet recommended some special tinned or dry food which they supplied, but Ollie is a fussy little dog, and wouldn't look at it, which was worrying because as you will know, after the insulin is injected they need to eat. However, the vet then advised me to try chopped chicken and boiled rice, which he ate, he now will eat some of the dry food mixed with chicken or lean minced beef, he's healthy and happy these days thankfully, maybe you could try giving something like this to your dog, as a treat now and then, but I would check with your vet first....Hope this helps..............welsh
