I have recently purcahsed an indesit widl126 washer dryer. I used the dryer earlier and have a problem. I put the clothes in and set it for a 60 minute drying cycle. When it finished, i opened the dryer and steam poured out of it. The clothes were piping hot (I could barely handle them) and they were also very damp. It seems like the machine is not releasing the humidity. Any advice?

yes, dry a bit longer and don't overload. Try it see if it helps

thanks mate. I kind of think ive overloaded. Somehow, I think the dryer is a waste of time considering I have a seven month old who is weening onto solids. kind of messy and I have tonnes of washing. Nevermind hey?
noooo... I know it's tooo late but never never buy a washer dryer combo... few reasons..

1) the dryer part of it will never work as well as a stand alone dryer.

2) the fluff created by the dryer cycle which would normally in a dryer just clog up a simple to clean filter will clog up the dryer filter, the water oulet pump filter from the washing side of it, and also possibly the water inlet pipe from the washing side. clean all filters on a weekly basis at least.

3) if one part fails you have basicly lost two macines.

4) even if all is working and nothing blocked the dryer can normally only dry a half load not a full one... just not enought room to air circulation with a full load to dry the clothes, so either only ever wash half loads or take half out before the drying cycle.

The goodish news is you can still get a stand alone dryer and never use the dry part of the machine and then you get properley dried cloths and reduce the chance of your washing machine machine a problem.

Agree with markysngc here - separate machines are better than just the one.
Sounds to me as though you had too much washing in for it to dry properly, so do smaller loads, and this might help.
Is it vented properly???
