- When Chandler and Phoebe pretend to fancy each other

Great post spaced. I've just sat here smiling for the last 5 mins reading all the replies. It sure was a funny programme. Incidentally, I recently saw the first ever episode which was a bit strange, setting the scene and the characters. It wasn't especially funny and didn't look like the long running success it would eventually becme. Much like 'Fools and Horses' I suppose. And the Simpsons.

I didn't like it at the beginning. I just thought it was another typical American sitcom but then it grew on and the rest is history. I don't think there is anything like Friends on the TV nowadays.

Ross gets a tan. I love lots of Friends episodes though. I know some people hate it. They must just have a different mental makeup. I think the scripwriters work hard, and although the same styles are worked and worked again sometimes, by and large the whole thing works well. I know there's what seems canned laughter, but it is in front of an audience, and largely the scenes are well written enough to merit laughter. Over time, you get to understand the characters, their idiosyncracies, their inter-character relationships, and it builds on that. I loved it, was sorry when it ended.

I also like where Ross is an indian guy, and most of the joey ones.
I'm not a fan of 'Joey' in his own show though. They should call it 'Friend'.

As good as simpsons?? I used to love simpsons but cant stand watching it all the time so many repeats on Channel 4. Yet I could watch friends over and over and over�
