i've had the engine replaced in my ford mondeo, it was a 51 reg engine with 112,000 miles on the clock and i had a 2006 engine with 16.000 miles on it put in.
Do i have to get the mileage changed to the new mileage or just leave everything as it is

Otherwise you would have the new owner think other vital parts of the car (suspension, joints etc) were safe and newish although they could have done 100s of thousands.
If selling the car you just point out the act of the engine swap, keeping receipts.
