Luckily I didn't really have anything on it which i'd be furious to lose, so it was a simple case of reinstallin windows again (well, Mr Boo did that, I just hovered about going "is it done yet?")
Now if it had been my main puter upstairs which I play my online game on, she'd now have two broken legs.
Anyway, I've passworded both my PC's and she's not allowed within 10 foot of either of then :-)

It is extremely annoying when this happens.
I suggest you put a few q's out on 'Technology' as there are a lot of techies on here.
The info is probably still recoverable (there are tools that 'undelete' the info even if it's been wiped. You would run your machine from a new drive, but add the old drive as a slave, then run the tools on it. Obv you would need to run antivirus on the new drive after this.
There are some decent tools out there to protect/clean.
AVG antivirus
Superantispyware
Spybot search and destroy.
It would be sad to miss answerbank if it werent' that we are such lovely people.
