I think I got booked on Sat. I parked on a single yellow line and nipped into town for an hour. When I came back the traffic warden was speaking into her walkie talkie lol saying my car details. I said I'm back now and she goes and? what a b*tch. She said it will be a fixed penalty. I got in my car quick cus I remember my dad saying that as long as they haven't stuck anything on your car your alright and this lady hadn't so I got in my car quick and drove off. Apparently though the law has changed recently and it sounds as though I won't have got away with it after all. Damn! Does anyone know about this. Will have a look on proper dvla site or wherever actually but would appreciate your answers too.
Yes, the law has recently been changed and parking wardens do not now have to affix the ticket to the car. In fact, you can receive a parking penalty notice without any wardens being in the area as you can be detected by CCTV cameras.
