doctor does know what is wrong bloods normal, but still having problems referring me onto cardiologist how long is the referral time/wait i should know it but im not 100% sure! i just feel so fed up!
I'm stuck in the NHS loop at the moment, was referred to rhumatology for arthritis who think it's caused by Crohns so have had to wait another 6 odd months for the referral to gastro (much bigger waiting list) and now on the tests waiting lists.
They have all been great though and we will get there eventually :)
If you want to know a waiting list just ring them up and ask generally.
thats weird, the NHS has now implemented the 18 weeks targets which means you shouldnt be waiting from referal to seeing specialist to TREATMENT for more than 18 weeks
I would question a six month waiting list! http://www.18weeks.nhs.uk/endwaiting/
see here
Also if you go through choose and book, you should in theory
Rhumatology came through really quickly but then they had a 5/6 week delay on typing letters up for the referral and said the rhumatology waiting list was at least 5 months and it came through about 6 months later.
Finally saw gastro for the first time last week and have my barium meal next week but still waiting on the appointment for my two camera appointments. Soon I hope as been really sufferering and it's affecting work.
I'm being monitored every two weeks for the tablets then see my rhumatologist in about 3 months while I see gastro. They are sorting me out a rhumo nurse and monitoring booklet so should get that through soon.
Sorry, meant gastro was 6 months (head still woozy!).
My GP did the rhumatology one online as he initially "forgot" to get the letter typed up, only came up when I queried it on another appointment.
I then got appointments from 3 different hospitals! So I did get to chose my preferred one for that.
I assumed they referred me to gastro at the same hospital to make it easier, I didn't get a ring up and make an appointment letter, just a time and date.
