Opening A Movie

I want to download a film but the files are in a rar format. How do I convert them so that I can turn them into data DVD and watch on a divx dvd player. I normaly burn avi format and that lets me get up to 5 films on a DVD.

Appreciate any help.

rar is a compressed format (just like zip) i use winrar to open rars and once you've extracted the film what you do from there depends on what format the film is in

extract the divx or avi file with winrar then burn it to a cd r at a low speed slower the better

You are supposed to pay for WinRar.

Get 7Zip. It decompresses rar files and many others. It is Open Source.
