I like that. Atheists are about as peaceful as the rest of us.
They are as violent and bl**dyminded as any religion.
Past wars have been fought with The name of God being the excuse but later ones ahve been fought with no such thing in mind. Korea and Vietnam were about the rise of Communism. WWII the rise of fascism.
I would not fight a war for any other reason than the right of everyone to believe or not to believe. The right to free speech and the right live a good life reguardless of there thoughts on wether God exsists or not or on wether we all agree.
All the Atheists I have ever met believe they are right and everyone else is wrong so doesn't that not put you on the same level as the rest of us?

Buddhism hasn't issued any fatwahs as such, legend, but they're pretty animated in Tibet right now (and rightfully so)
Even Wiccans go to war for their country, but i don't think there's been any cases of them having religious wars.
Similar for Christain religions like Jehovah's Witnesses, Amish, Mennonite and Quakers.
Though I could be wrong...?

I think this queston is being ansered a bit skew wiff actually, (says the agnostic athiest with pagan sympathies). In my experience religion is used as the excuse for people doing horrendous things to each other.
I mean, just to take northern Ireland as an example, that was all proddys this and catholics that but actually it was all freaking politics. I'm no big fan of religion but I tend to look at it as more of the sh!tty stick than anything else.
