where do you put your webcam?

i have recently bought a new slimline monitor for my pc and now have nowhere to rest my webcam!if i sit it at the side or on top of my printer the image is of me looking side on and doesnt look right.i was wondering what other people do.i have provisionally designed a gantry that would stand behind the monitor and rest the webcam where it used to be,on top of the monitor in the centre looking down at me which i think gives the best picture. interested what other people do and what you think.many thanks

I had the same problem.   On my work station I have a CD rack.   I take out a CD case just enough to rest the cam on with some blue tac
