I'm considering buying an MGF or MG TF, before I do, does anyone own / used to own either of these cars and experienced any major problems with it?
If it does need repairs done to it, are the parts any more expensive than average car?

as the MR2 is a model thats sold in the UK there are no drawbacks when it comes to maintaining and servicing as the parts will be available.
if you check the mr2 owners club site they have a lot of information on the cars in general and a section all about imports.

and as for your terms..... hmmmmm
1. No smoking It's a convertable.. couldn't really smoke if I wanted to
2. You must alwys wear gloves not a problem
3. You must always call me ma'am delusions of grandeur??
4. You must stay at least 10 feet behind other vehicles at all times sod that, give me one of those to drive and trust me everyone else will be behind me!
5. You must wash, dry and polish her by hand every second day is this open for negotiation? every 3 days?
6. You must always open the door for me.give me the chance to thrash.. sorry meant drive an aston and ok
7. You will refuse payment see No.6
8. You must sand back, stain and varnish my stairs hmmm now thats a bit above and boyond the call of duty me thinks
