I have AVG security on my Vista 32 bit system, can I turn off the programme without uninstalling it, I just need to see if it is stopping my new printer working properly. If you can turn it off, can someone tell me how, or how can I stop it scanning a word document before printing (not one I have downloaded).

AVG should have an icon on the Windows task bar in the bottom right. It is a square made up of four smaller squares (red, green,yellow,blue).

RIGHT click on this icon and select Exit.

Thank you, I think it is Vista causing the problem as the printer works fine on an xp one and spools in 9 sec, it takes 42 secs with Vista!!
