What would be a nice supper if you were entertaining someone of an evening?
Possuibly al fresco , or his sister alison fresco.
White or red wine dependant on choice of food.
So a nice meal possibly quick to make , not tooo spicey or arty fartyu.
And no not hotdogs or cheeesey pasta for alll the trailer trash out there.
Well ideas ?

one jar of Lloyd Grossman Tomato and Basil sauce
Large pre-cooked tiger prawns
basmati rice
red pepper
one onion
fresh green salad as a side dish.
Slice up the pepper and onion into 1cm strips and gently fry in the pan with some oil until slightly soft, add the sauce mix and heat through. Meanwhile put on the rice to cook as per instructions. When sauce heated add the prawns right at the end and heat through, serve with green salad & rice and maybe some naan bread. Yummy yummy.

Jumbalaya.
Easy to cook in a big pot.
Ladle it out.
Serve with a wine which compliments spicy food. I'd recommend a bottle of BLANK (to be filled in after the forthcoming publication of Jayne's Guide To WIne)
Perfect for a supper party.
Even better if you can eat al fresco (does that mean "without your clothes on" or something?)
Perfection on a plate.
