"You've got egg under your chin"
I don't know how widespread this saying is, but this phrase is used around Lancashire/Manchester and means your zip is down on your trousers. But where does it come from/what does it mean?

The natural reaction to being told you've got something under your chin would be to look down...yes, I know you can't see under your chin, but that needn't prevent the conditioned response. The idea then would be that the one who tells you might hope that you'd spot the real problem. That's a guess, anyway, as I've never actually heard the words used..

Thanks Quizmonster. Sounds good to me. A bit obvious really.
The phrase as used in the Liverpool area is "Egg on your chin" - it was used in a playground practical joke - when the victim tilted their head down to try to see it (impossible, as the chin moves also), you would flick them on the end of the nose.
