What is the difference between the supermarket Longlife value skimmed milk that costs 49p, and the more expensive "standard" skimmed milk costing around 20p more?

Nothing but a branded name I would say. We buy 24 cartons per monthly shopping trip, wouldn'y dream of buying the dearer one! xxx

Hi ethel, we only shop once a month so go for the longlife stuff, don't even need to keep it all in the fridge it keeps very well! xxx

I hate long life in tea ...but 's ok for cooking ...

Can I suggest cravendale instead. It has a very long shelf life anyway (compared to ordinary milk) and it can be frozen if you need to - bottle expands a bit, but no problem.

It also keeps longer once opened. I live alone and one bottle can last a week, but it still tastes fresh.

I freeze my milk too, without problems.
