ASH can be remains, don' t where one mum comes into it.

PODAGRA is gout in the toe, hardly a fruit.

What kind of puzzle are you doing?

Podagra is the swelling, POD = fruit A GRA is just over half of a grape.

You don't do cryptic crosswords then?
I am useless at Cryptics CATRON, although i do try them. I think the brain imust be worn out, i am 71. x

dt 25,661 is the Daily Telegraph prize cryptic crossword
I try it every week, but it usually defeats me, sometimes even when people kindly give me the explanations.
Just don't have the right kind of brain , I guess.
