I probably won't be alone in suggesting that you sell it on.

Care to expand on that 4candles? x
Norton is soooo bad, they should have paid you 18 quid to take it. Put it in the bin NOW and carry on with your existing protection. If you feel you absolutely MUST install it then you need to uninstall AVG first - but don't blame the AB crowd when your machine turns into a sluggardly unresponsive heap of scrap metal.
ignore - just uninstall avg

Thanks AC. What do YOU think of Norton? x
Norton is bad news- avoid it
I wouldn't use Norton.

It just uses too many resources.

But why???? x

Sorry ethel, the why? was for tali x
Because it uses too many resources, causing the pc to run very slow.
actually your version got quite good reviews ...
there was one particular version a couple of years ago which was a total disaster ... and you know what sticks.

My best advice would be try it ...
you can always use the remover ...
and e-bay do good rates on sales.

with the greatest respect ... some of your advisers are avg users ... so I'd question their expertese on this particular subject.

while it's probably true to say it;'s not the best option (kaspersky is) ... it's not the worst either ..
I'd trust the mainstream reviewers over any of us anyday
some people still believe the earth is flat!!!
Hi Bathsheba, sorry I'm late in coming back - busy day.

Ver. 2008 may well be an improvement on previous versions, but having had a machine almost totally screwed up by Norton, followed by a not pleasant experience with McAfee, I'm twice bitten twice shy.
"while it's probably true to say it;'s not the best option (kaspersky is)".

You wanna punch or wot? NOD32 is the best.

:-)
