I am slated for a skill test in one of the multinational oil companies. Please what does the skill test entail?

Could be one of more of several types. If it's a technical job it might be unique to the type of thing you'd come up against in the day-job. If it's general, it could be verbal reasoning, numerical reasoning, spatial awareness or logical thought. These latter battery tests are but one tool in the recruitment process.
