I have a theory its cos blokes won't order diet coke for themselves.
Look at the branding and the advertising for coke zero vs diet coke. Ones all blokes shouting down with bras, we want no sugar coke cos we wanna look good for our birds, and the other is get your kit off boys and kiss me I drink diet coke.
It's insidious I tells ya!!! now, where's me Halls soothers?, I need me neck kissed by handsome bloke

one thing i know for sure is that i drink diet coke and really didn't like coke zero and my partner who drinks regular coke also doesn't like coke zero.
the whole reason they introduced zero (as told by a Coca Cola employee) was because as previously stated diet coke sales are dominated by female buyers so they introduced zero to try and attract male buyers....using different packaging and enlisting wayne rooney in the ad campaign to give it a more masculine appeal
whatever, its still not very nice

The "diets" use a different sweetner with an aftertaste that affects lots of peoples bowels if drunk in copious quantities. The Pepsi Max version - I can drink a lot of it without any effects and to me it tastes better than Zero or Diets. I think it's down to personal taste. My Mum can't stand Pepsi max and will only drink the full fat version. I'd rather not being diabetic !!!
