I've always plucked my eyebrows, but I'm thinking about waxing. Does it have to be done professionally - or can you do it yourself - and if so, what's the best product to buy? Any advice you can give would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have waxed my eyebrows in the past and definitely prefer it to plucking. Don't bother now because with the hair grownig back finer there is nothing left to wax. I am not brave enough to do it myself, probably hurt to much and I would not be able to get them even.
I get mine waxed professionally, only costs about a fiver and much prefer it to plucking as the good ones will also pluck stray hairs after waxing and cut them into shape and I get an overall nicer finish.

I've thought about DIY but not sure where I can buy something decent for it.

Have tried waxing strips from shops, the all in one types, and never found them very good.
I wouldn't do it myself, imagine if it went wrong and you ended up with half a brow. I think threading is better than waxing, even the very fine hairs are removed, without breaking and the shape always looks great.
I tried threading the other week and even though it was much more painful for longer I was very impressed with the result.

Didn't last as long as I thought and more expensive but would have it done for occasions and stick to waxing in the meantime.
I tried waxing mine myself once with a proper kit, it didnt work very well and left stray hairs, I would recommend getting it down professionally, but a word of advice..take some sunglasses with you as it looks like you have bright pink eyeshadow on after its done, but wears off after a few hours!
would recommend threading as well - much cleaner and tidier finish and gets all the stray or finer hairs. hence the pain! (remember - no gain otherwise) x
