Is it worth chancing it in the hope that they bring their prices down?
Flights only are extortianiate from Scotland and I daresay from everywhere else ATM.
Has anyone had the guts to wait until say 2wks before departure to see if they came down in price or would it be too much of a chance given that some airlines fly empty rather than lose their slot.
I agree with the answer already given, with the proviso that seats on charter flights are sometimes discounted near the date of departure if they have not been taken up and/or if there are last minute cancellations.
If it's Christmas you've been very wise - most flights will be full so no chance whatever of last minute bargains. Top price for the odd seat left or cancellation.
Hey Funny -going out to our home in Spain -this is the first time we have been floored by the prices but they must be affecting everyone.Never mind - will be worth it as its the Fiesta week in the village and its great fun.
dzug -strangely cant seem to get into the blooming December flights -seem to work in 'seasons' -will try again tomorrow -i'm all webbed out tonight - but spoke to H and he agrees we should get it booked asap.
Hi Drisgirl. Think you were sensible to book , last minute prices don't seem to be coming down in price at all. T hink all the irlines are worried about the fuel costs. Wouldn't be surprised if some compnies go to the wall either
