Have you grown runner beans? I like them about 6in long and young......they're always too long and stringy in the shops.
My grapes are flourishing and lots of apples but the plums are sparse. Have lots of strange fruit, green speckled oval things growing on contoniasta-early red flower (can't spell it but sounds right). What happens with them, they're hard as rock?

You can grow leeks and carrots next, puzzled, because these grow better as the weather gets cooler.
I know what you mean kn. Guess people DO want proper answers sometimes though, but I have to say that some posts just beg hilarious replies., and to puzzled - sorry, but "gnomes" was a beaut!
