I'm 8 weeks pregnant is it ok to take paracetamol or cold remedies?

Paracetamol is absolutely fine.

You can look up your medication on this site and see whether or not it is OK to take during pregnancy.

Paracetamol's fine but be careful it's not mixed with caffeine as you shouldn't have too much of that when you're expecting. You shouldn't take any other medication including cough medicine unless the doctor advised it, and aspirin and ibuprofen are definitely out. I'm afraid we just have to wait it out (I sympathise because I'm 25 weeks pregnant and can feel a cold coming on right now).
