Classiest would probably be the Bellagio with its fountain displays, followed by Ceasars Palace, MGM Grand and the Mirage.
Tackiest would give you a bigger list including Excalibur, New York New York, Luxor, Treasure Island and Paris.
I've stayed at MGM and Excalibur and found rooms to be similar despite major external differences. Next trip I'm planning for the Bellagio.
Actually, the most glamorous hotel on the Strip is the Four Seasons which is on the top levels of the Mandalay Bay (itself a pretty classy joint). My wife and I have stayed at both Bellagio and The Venetian in the last year.
Caeser's Palace remains dated (even with the recent remodelling). The Venetian is amazing - suites only - but not really worth the money. Already up to two towers they will be the World's largest hotel when the third tower opens next year.
Bellagio has to be it - it really is the most amazing hotel. Book a Fountain View room though otherwise it is not worth it.
