Help!!!
28 Answers
Using Windows XP, Mozilla F/Fox. I can't google - only get onto the initial google page. Can't access my hotmail account, and it's taken me about 20 minutes just to get here! Keep getting Server not found, or it can't connect to the pages I want. Local connection's OK., no plugs out. Can anyone suggest anything please - in a very simple-to-understand way??? Thank you.

if its your internet connection try resetting your Broadband (disconnect broadband/turn it off for 15-20 secs), and double check all the connection arent loose. i.e. pull the network cable out and plug it back in again on both ends first. these are the common faults that no-one checks!
if you have tried Everything (even everyones advices) then it must be your ISP (internet service provider), u may need to contact them. might be a fault outside your house, like an area fault etc. u had any road works recently? cos sometimes the roadworkers accidently knock the BB cables which causes lost of connection.
Hope it helps. x
ps im still waiting for your em replies :P xx

Hi, Ice.Maiden.
If you want to try a system restore, it`s very simple, as long as your system restore hasn`t been turned off.
This sometimes happens if you have a virus.
Just click control panel, then help and support on left hand side.
Now click "undo changes to your computer with system restore"
Click next.
If you`ve got some dates in bold, your sytem restore is turned on.
Click one of these dates, go back as far as you can, to when your computer was ok.
If you want to go back to July, click the arrow at the top left of the calendar. Then click next and the restore will start.
If it doesn`t do any good, you can leave it where it is or undo the restore.
I haven`t had to do a restore for quite a while, but it`s really helped me in the past.
Good luck, hope you manage to sort it one way or another.
