that stuffs beautiful,its when the breads dipped in egg and fried and then sprinkled with sugar is'nt it? if so have'nt had that in years but i got bread,eggs and sugar! so now its a toss up between eggy bread and jacket spuds!

We Yanks...pay attention Abdul.....call it French toast and have it with icing sugar and maple syrup......yummy!.......real gluttons-half the population -eat them with sausages or bacon.

It's the only time I cut off the crusts.

6 eggs, lightly whisked. add some ground pepper, soak triangles of crustless bread for a few minutes and fry in dripping.

Add some Worcestershire sauce and tuck in.

Great stuff.

Don't know why-but it works..maybe because pork has an afinity with sweet things.

Cheese and pineapple
Turkey and cranberry
Chicken and grape

All work well

But sausage and syrup is just wrong.

"Eggy bread" sounds like kid talk, I retched once when an adult said this to me and it put me off him for life. Frech toast :-) my son loves.

I bet it's nice with maple syrup/icing sugar as pasta describes.
