Film title

I watched a film on Sky movies about 2 years ago and haven't managed to find it since. It was a late 1990's/2000 film with a group of 20's/30's friends (at least 2 guys & 2 girls) who communicated the whole time through email, text, answerphone & phone. No characters met face to face throughout the film.Two were career/busy type people, I think 2 were shy/lazy types. Probably a romantic/drama. Despite Skys rolling programme I haven't managed to find it, and don't know what it's called. Any ideas?

Sorry no, although that girl out of the truth about cats and dogs (not uma thurman) seems to ring a bell. But could also just be misleading. I'm hopeless arn't I !

the actress from cats & dogs is Janeane Garofalo. the above link is her imdb listing, but the movie desc rings no bells at all.

Thanks so much for that, cos it got me searching again, even though I had give up ages ago till someone told me about this site. And I found it, after about 2 hours of various "characters don't meet" etc searches on google etc. The film is called Denise Calls Up. When put into a search as this, loads of reviews come up, the Truth about Cats and Dogs is mentioned in some as a similar type, so that's probably why I got on that line. It is a 1995 film so a bit earlier than I thought, but I watched it on Sky. Thanks everyone who helped.
