It seemed to be the most "acted out" so far, which is what I meant by over the top, the only time I felt that she was genuinely shocked was when she was in Poland and learnt that she was on the spot where the Jewish ghetto was razed to the ground.
I'm looking forward to seeing David Suchet's programme.

I have to say I find all of these programmes somewhat contrived and I wonder how many 'celebrities' stories never make it to film because they don't have murderers, refugees, escaped prisoners of war, diamond dealers................. in their pasts.
It also strikes me as odd how no matter who these people are or where they go, there are always lots of 'records' full of info concerning them to be found. Most of which means a nice trip to Russia, Jamaica, Turkey etc. for the celebs.

I agree blackcat. She kept saying this is terrible this is terrible, but was laughing everytime she said it (not so terrible then!). If her cousin had been tracing their family history since he was 20 then surely she already knew that side of the family's history. Also why go to the police to trace the stories of the shooting and the fraud? All they did was look up old newspapers - doesn't Esther know any who works for a newspaper? It all came across as false.
