claiming for a tv on insurance
i am tring to claim for a lcd tv that i bought 4/5 years ago and will not work after a power. cut . they have asked me to supply a reciept but cannot remember if i bought it from currys or comet. what happens if i cant get copy reciept, and whats the procedure for the claim

Cheekychops - depends on your type of insurance.
Mine is 'old for new'. If my electrical equipment had to be replaced by the insurance company, they'd confirm the specs and arrange either delivery or collection of the nearest similar available. I would have to pay the excess. They wouldn't be interested in where it came from or how much I paid
