Ed, don't know if this can be done - but how about a section for the over-18's? I don't mean for posting any porno-type stuff, just perhaps adult jokes and banter that's not suitable for children.

Perhaps have a section where you have to click to declare that you are over 18 to access it - like you can find on t'internet now (ooooerrrr, not that I've visited a site like that, Ed, honest!!!! - it's just what I've been told!)

Do ya see where I'm coming from pink? Folk (including me) talk on here as if it's only adults ever gonna read it. Stuff that's not porn, but just not child-friendly chat.

Therefore, I would like to see CB restricted to over-18's, but I don't expect it would be possible to set it up that way!
no i do agree sometimes it gets too much or personal not suitable for the youngsters but light hearted fun most times for us . some of the work posts are from 13 year olds and i don't suppose some are being supervised by parents,
In defence of Leg he usually chats about donuts.....he does seem to eat a lot of them. Donuts do have holes. I don't think this would offend. There is plenty more offensives on other chat sites.

We have our 'high-brow' sites here and I like the balance.

IN MY DEFENCE THE THREAD WAS ABOUT ME AND NOT POSTED BY ME .

THANK YOU VERY MUCH .

Anyways if i was getting any i would have said hiding the sausage with a lady friend.
And if that's offensive to anyone or they find it shocking i think they not only need a reality check , but they should stand outside a high school playground and listen to how kids over 13 really talk.Sometimes i'm amazed by the fairytale image of how kids are today.Okay dont have that stuff on here, but at the same time get real about the fact its more for adults being stuffy as the kids could and often do post far worse stuff online.

Nothing wrong with restricting some stuff but don't blinker yourself to reality as well.

DID THAT HELP ??
How about users use this site for how it's intended? It's a family site, which suggests children can come here. An over 18's part would not fit in with what the site is about. Would be much better if everyone just stuck to the rules but it seems that is asking too much some days.

Also with the comment how about adults watch their children, why should they need to when this is a family site? How about users watch what they post and bear in mind that children come here?
Sorry Mrs Chappie just read over what I put and I seem a bit blunt, not my intention but the coffee hasn't kicked in yet after being up half the night with a poorly husband.

I can see where your coming from with your suggestion and why you suggested it :o)

Alright then, what about a little warning on the Chatterbank bit:

"Warning - This part of the site is largely visited by adults, and therefore some posts might be considered unsuitable for minors". Or summat like that. Perhaps not worded quite like that, but you know what I mean.

Of course it won't make any difference - the kids will look anyway. There's no way of stoppin' em.

Oh, come to think about it - that might mean we get more kids posting on CB ....... (a lightbulb has just appeared over chappie's head).

On second thoughts ....... Ed, scrap the idea lad. Forget I said owt.

Wingnut, how's your hubby today? Had he eaten summat a bit iffy?
....probably a donut....
Question Author
No, no, no .... mrs.wingnut would never give him a doughnut .... ya never know where it's been!

He's improving thanx for asking Mrs Chappie :o)

No Newsdesk no doughnuts were involved, he has health problems that tend to rear their ugly head from time to time and as a good wife I look after him when the need arises, even in the middle of the night :o)
Question Author
Hope Mr. Wingnut is feeling better than he was last night. Here's a little gift for him.x
