3 Network Advert
Obviously adverts are getting increasingly weirder, but can anyone tell me the significance of the 3 Netwotk advert, where two Chinese guys are dressed as cowboys, and are worshipping a huge Jellyfish type animal. Is is me, or is this advert totally pointless??

It makes NO sense, doesnt even show the product or relate to it, just plain messy!!! Why a jellyfish, and why two chinese cowboys??? Some advertising execs are just warped.
The fundamental reason for advertising is communication. If the target audience of an ad cannot understand the message being communicated, then the ad is a waste of money. As a company, 3 are struggling. Why? The handsets are big and ugly, the 3G coverage is patchy at best, the content is a short-term novelty, so you can watch the premiership goals before anyone else? Big bloody deal. It would help if you could actually see anything on the screen in any case. I believe 3 are now offering 500 minutes inclusive, for 2.99. They are losing money hand-over-fist, and confusing advertising will only compound their problem. 3 will go bankrupt by next year. They are a poorly run excuse for a business and they do deserve to succeed. The advert is crap - end of story.
