Awww, our leylandi(???) is overgrown and needs cutting so they can come and live in ours for the time being. I have two very cowardly cats.

Thanks natalie im sure they would like that!
Cazz ...im sure they will
we had to cut ours down because it was diseased and my son was trying to eat the soggy bark, we too also had pigeons that used to hang around, they live in a nearby tree now, but they like to sit on the garden fence and give us daggers occasionally ;D
cazz, dont you feed him :0/
Christine, I love birds! While at the bus stop this morning there was a really sad scrawny one with one leg? I thought it must be using all its energy just to stand up :0(
I tend to hang up bird feeders on top of the shed, they seem to like them
cazz - I was once given a love bird. I use to let it fly free. It started chewing at the window frame and making loads of racket. Drove my husband mad!! Anyway, I let it go out the window, on reflection may be it was cruel. It all backfired. I had half my street pointing at this 'escaped' love bird. I had to say it had escaped :0( This lad tried to catch it in a tree, I was praying he wouldn't fall!! Anyway, it flew away. Didn't help I'd called it Rocky. Felt daft shouting, come on Rocky!!

Sachs...yes i feed them......the tree surgeons didnt quite finish the job. off,,,,,they are all sitting in the half of tree that is left! Awwwww!
My son is a tree surgeon and he says they shouldnt have cut it down without checking the bird situation first
Question Author
cazz ....i bet they do!
As pigeons and collared doves are considered vermin that can be legally shot with an air rifle, there was no need to check the trees for these birds.

In any case, breeding season is long gone.
