My New Baby :)

I adopted the gorgeous Heathcliffe from a rescue place yesterday.
He's my new little shadow and facinated by anything I do and into anything.
A quick piccie (which has taken forever for me to upload on dial up...argh!).

We have learnt one lesson today in that mummy's food is mummys and Heathcliffe's food is Heathcliffes so he's sulking on the sofa (his own sofa full of blankets and cushions at that!) at the moment bless him :)
He gobbled up his Aldi pouch food though and loves his biccies.

Oh yes :) getting ready for slavedom haha :)
Felt awful leaving this morning but I'm sure he will be fine as has lots of comfy places to sleep. I've got a load of coats on the back of the chair under my dressing table and he seems to like that as a comfy little hidey hole to sleep.
He curled up on the bed with me last night and on the sofa this morning then came and sat by the bath when I was getting washed this morning then on the bed watching me get ready. He wasn't so sure about the scary hairdryer though.
He's great with his litter tray, wasn't sure if he'd need a bit of training with being s stray but he's such a good boy.
He's facinated by outside too, going and looking out the window and such but I can't let him out for a month until he get used to his new home. The Landlord is coming to see me tonight and he's a cat person and may ask about the possibility of a cat flap for him, once he's ready to go outside when he wants.

Yep, the joys of the litter tray... never mind, it won't be for long (my two darlings lasted just a few weeks before they virtually tore the kitchen door down trying to get out in that fabby wild place called my garden).... I'd had a new cat flap fitted and they could see through it but not get out.... then they'd jump up on kitchen worktops to see out through the kitchen windows (I really wasn't happy about that !)... The three of us were desperate for the *isolation* period to be over ! They'd both been microchipped, vaccinated, wormed, deflea'd etc etc and my garden was quite safe so I only let them out at first when they were really hungry - that way I knew I could entice them back indoors.
After they were used to going outdoors (but still came indoors to use their trays !), I moved the trays closer and closer to the back door then one day, put one on the other side of the door - ie outside and the next day put the other one half way down the garden. It did rain really heavily for a couple of days after that, so I simply brought one of the trays indoors again but as soon as it was dry, both trays went outside again. A few days later, I mixed some of the used litter in with some freshly dug garden earth and both of my darlings took the hint really easily. Voil ! no litter trays again.
