See bird from cut TER N ear headland
TERN

Razorbill is very good.
It would have made things easier if you had given the number of letters....

ladyalex. No 77 "see bird from cutter near headland" (9) I apologise for referring to you on RIDDLES by another name- association of ideas ! I still cannot see how the tern fits in with the apparent answer of Razorbill if that is the answer. Terns are terns no nine lettered ones and razorbills are Auks ? I must be missing something so please could you advise ?
It seems to me that there are two answers to this clue. I cannot see why Swordbill doesn't fit. It's a type of hummingbird. Razorbill is a type of auk. Can anybody see why one answer might have merit over the other?
I'm getting all confused here.
If there are nine letters in the answer, it cannot be TERN.
Razorbill is a good answer...razor=cutter and bill=headland

Cannot help but agree, though, that swordbill is pretty good too. Maybe they will accept both ?

Didn't see you refer to me on Riddles, so no apology necessary...it's only a game , etc etc....
