i would like to try to find a penpal i had away back in 1973/74...i remember her name and town in denmark she lived in ( im in uk )...but where do i start...i phoned all the names in the town phone book..but i reckon shes obviously married and wouldnt have same name now...anyone help?...the town was aalborg........cheers

You could try putting an advert in a Denmark newspaper of try website likes peoplesearch.com or friendsreunited.com

You could try a google search of her name and Aalborg or you could try this website for Aalborg. It is their main kommune (council) website. You could e-mail them and ask them the best way to track your friend because they might know some way to find her. I know that in Sweden (where I am) everyone has a personal identity number. It may be the same in Denmark, and therefore might be possible to find her this way.

everybody in Denmark has a personal identity number, you could try sending a mail to [email protected], it's the national register and I'm sure they will help, it cost a bit of money, but only around five pounds.
