I could be wrong here, but I seem to recall every 40,000 miles or 6 months according to my garage.

First, it depends on your mileage, if you stop/start/stop/start this in turn gives the belt a hammering, as the derv engine is a lot heaver than a petrol it does more work to turn over In my own opinion & experience to be on the safe side app 50.000 any more, Well what is cheapest? replacing the belt or replacing the Head/Valves + the work involved. I will let you decide
