i work on paye in construction and pay �3000 a year in petral can i claim it back

not too sure,may be pos throgh tax return,but when work for lifeways & travel to work 100 miles a day,just had to paynthing back,only claim what youyou use at work not to/from.if self employed you can or VAT registered

yeah to and from work is not classed as business travel - just cos you work in construction is no different to me working in an office if my office and your site are both 100 miles from home you cant claim anymore than i can
by paye do you mean you are an employee and pay paye or that you have paye deducted under the HMRC CIS? If you are self employed employed then different rules apply.
Unfortunatley you can only claim back taxes on those kind of things if you are registered as self employed and have a CIS tax reference number or UTR number.

If that was the case, why doesn't every one in the country on PAYE simply claim tax back on petrol.
