use a normal shoe box, fill nit up to 4kg, take it to thebpost office address it to BFPO .......oh i've forgotten i posted it a few weeks back, pinkbunny will have it. address it to a British serviceman/woman
If you are sending it to a soldier of the opposite sex, how about sending a nice picture of yourself. I would think that even our burly soldiers would like something traditional and Christmassy so how about a nice Christmas card. I don't know if you can send food but if you are allowed to, send a few mince pies or a small Christmas pudding. Chocolate is always nice.
4 Kilos in a shoe box dot.hawkes.

Do you have big feet?
Morning puss_boots,
As an ex soldier who served in Northern Ireland (among other places) a parcel from home was always a welcome surprise, especially at this time of year, no matter who sent it. A card is always welcome, a little note, chocolate, a small gift of some sort, I still have a keyring sent to me in NI in 1972. I don,t know who sent it, but such kindness is always cheering to the lads and lasses who's lives are at daily risk on the front line.
Forgot to say what to do. Label it for a lad or a lass. Take it to the post office and they will help with the rest good for you!
The BFPO number is 772 make sure you label if the parcel is for a male of female soldier. I have just sent my friend, a copy of todays paper sweets musili bars custard powder hot chocolate powder vasiline baby wipes a comb pens paper envelopes tobacco polos chewing gum tooth brush salt peper and hp sauce and tomato sauce satchets packs of tissues.
For his christamas one I am sending very soon and am sending pack of playing cards soap razor blades travel game batteries a book etc all wrapped up for christmas seperatly so he has stuff to open on christams day.
I can send parcels upto 2 kilos for free to the BFPO it goes to a main post ofice for the forces then it gets sent out on the planes.
I briefly spoke to my friend last night before we lost connection and anything you send even the simplest things like I sent today are most welcome and its free to post which is an added bonus. Just dont send porn booze war related items eg toy soldiers or tanks or any pork related food produce. Any food you send must still be in manafactures sealed packs not home made and remember it may have to travel for upto 5 weeks at extreme tempuratures so dont put in anything that may perish and bag anything liquid then bag it again and then again if it can leak then it will leak!
Good on you puss we need to support our boys and girls x
