Every now and then I get excrutiating pain in the joints of my right hand, it generally feels worst along my knuckles. Today is one of those days and it hurts so much I'm finding it a bit of an effort to open the hand fully.
I'm pretty sure its computer related, as I work in IT and am sat at a PC all day, but all the fancy ergonomic stuff just doesn't help. I'd imagine that if it was arthritis it would be in both hands, although I am worried I'll develope it in future : (
Does anyone have tips on how to relieve hand pain? I do keep stretching the hand every now and then but no joy. Its gonna get to the point where I'll have to take time off work because of it, which I don't want to do : /
when i was first diagnosed with arthritis (in my early 20's) my first symptoms were hand pains - only on one side too, then pains in my foot the other side, then hip on the original side. I find my hand pan is relieved by tting my hands in hot water
Drinking real squeezed orange juice on a morning, really helps with arthritis. If this helps after a few days, you know it could be that. If you're taking tablets on a morning check you can take them with orange juice, though, some you can't.
I had RSI (repetitive stress injuery) Caused by using the mouse too much. You can get special gloves on the internet to prevent and help pain, just search RSI glove on google.
