Glaswegian phrases
9 Answers
I'm visiting two friends in Glasgow and last time I was there (and very drunk) they tried to teach me some Scottish phrases, all of which have been mysteriously erased from my memory (along with the events of that night).
Can anyone teach me some good phrases to say to them (and translation too please!!!)

if one of your friends really needs to pee
try 'sook it up into your neck!'
it's what my great-nan used to say apparently
or 'maybe aye maybe hooch aye'
(pronounced hoo with a sort of h sound at the end meaning maybe yes maybe no)
also [i'm not sure if this is how you spell it]
if you've scunnit yourself of somethin eg food then you've eaten so much of it you don't want to have it again
hope it helps :)
