Shannon Matthews drugged and tied up!
Well. I have been eagerly waiting for this court case to start to hear the facts about the crime committed...

Just unbelievable that the mother did this to her own kid! and she was drugged and tied up too! Why is it people like this cant be sterilized! They dont deserve children! So many familes could love Shannon better and care for her better. I hope she is getting over her ordeal and is happier now!

SS are not just there for child neglect purposes. In the last year we have had a few bereavements and my son wasn't coping at all. The school asked my permission to phone social services as they would fast track some bereavement councilling. They came to see him (just him, not my other two) and agreed he needed it.

Yes Ummmm.. I agree.. Shannons mother thought the kidnap plot would work cos she is thick as pig sh1tt.
Remember the documentary about her... they kept on mentioning Madeline McCann and were almost jealous that people like Branson etc were offering financial help to find her! Lets face it 7 kids by 7 men - the mother isn';t gonna be the sharpest tool in the box!
So sick that she was so calculating and knew all the time where Shannon was! Poor kid! How will she ever get over the fact her own mother did that to her!

EVERY SINGLE person that was involved with those 60 visits should be bought to book.
EVERY SINGLE professional person who saw that a babies ear was nearly hanging off and thought it was ok should be fired.
EVERY SINGLE professional person who missed that that baby had a broken back should be fired.
EVERY SINGLE professional person who didn't notice bruises,cuts and bumps were hidden under chocolate should be fired.
EVERY SINGLE professional person who missed the fact the baby had half a finger missing should be fired.
THERE IS NO EXCUSE for what has happened.
The parents are 100% to blame and should be locked away for the rest of their lives but EVERY SINGLE professional involved in this case is culpable and has there share of the blame and should not be able to hold a position where they can allow another child to be killed.
Other than the obvious the sad thing about this is that it will happen again and lessons won't be learnt.

I read this story with increasing horror at every line I had to cover my mouth as I read it (I don't know why) where do you begin?
People need to be fired and possibly prosecuted it speaks volumes for the modern mentality of the so called "intelectuals" that when faced with a clear and abject failure they produce a graph with statistics to show that they're really not that bad.
For me the most poignant line in that story was that the social worker who visted said he smiled when he was spoken to, the poor little fella amidst all that cruelty all he wanted, all he craved was a little kindness and when he got it he revelled in it.
On the next page a pensioner had been savagely beaten by burglars, I despair of the people of this nation sometimes.
