The latest British Gas Ad

Have you seen the latest British Gas ad where they’re advertising free phone calls (boy dumps girl)?  The woman asks what the lad did wrong and someone pipes up ‘He should have got his mate to do it’.  Is this Sid Owen (aka Ricky from Eastenders)?  Looks and sounds just like him.  Any ideas?
