Ideal Classic boiler

I have the above boiler which you can light the pilot light and it stays on but when you turn the stat on the boiler lights for a short time then goes out. Does anyone know the problem

Do you mean the pilot or the gas burners go out?

yes i know exactly what the problem is and you need to call out a corgi registered heating engineer to fix it.
