She is 'ready to breed' as you put it when she is mature enough, you have had all the necessary health checks done, you have studied her pedigree carefully and found her a suitable mate whose pedigree ties in with hers and when you have enough suitable homes for puppies, when she is in demand as a brood bitch because of her type, temperament and breed. Only when all this and more is complete will she be 'ready to breed'. As for you, you are obviously not ready 'to be a breeder' if you don't even know the basics of a bitches ovulation cycle. Breeding dogs is not something you can learn from asking one question about a bitches physical condition.
