hi ethel you seem to know a lot about tv etc i was hoping someone would be able to help me with my problem my dvd has trapped my tape and it keeps telling me its in safe mode i havent a clue how to release it can you help please

I'm sorry, I'd love to help but I don't understand the question or know the answer.

I can't imagine why a dvd player has a tape in it, unless it's a combination dvd/video player.

Have you got the manual?

What is the make/model?

Have you looked at the manufacturer's website for 'technical support' or a forum?

It's an LG DVC 8700 according to Daneswalk's earlier post. So you're right enough, Ethel, it's a VHS/DVD player.

thanks all for your answers but a friend of a friend has fixed it ethel you would hve a long journey to come and fix it as i live on the east coast of scotland keep warm as there is a cold spell coming
