what couldnt you forgive your partner?

was having an interesting chat with girlfreinds about exs. We were talking about what you couldnt forgive i said violence towards me or my kids, thats oversteppin a line that you cant go back from, others said havin affairs cant be forgiven whereas i think that could,in certain circumctances.

I couldn't forgive lying to me on the day my Dad died so he could go to the pub.

i think most people agree on the not forgiving violence as well. With regards the cheating it depends on if the relationships worth saving. I wouldnt say 'never' but suppose thats cause i have kids. My own situation didnt involve violence or affairs but his drinking which ruind our marriage.

You can never trust them....there is always going to be a nagging doubt.....which is a shame,because I am sure many marriages can survive ONE indescretion.

Some could, yes, but I think it'd make a woman feel quite insecure, even if she forgave the indiscretion. How would she ever know if the same thing's crop up again, given the same circumstances arising? I know that some couples can "forgive and forget", and they say that their marriage becomes stronger than ever...but the initial cheating tells me that it was never all that brilliant in the first place. I suppose it boils down to what the injured party feels about their partner.
