There's a thread on science at the moment that has intruiged me (don't go there often..) about clean breaks and cheek clappage.

Now am I misconstruing things here, or is this a subject more suited to chatterbank - especially since this morning's uranus & ring-cleaning threads?

Just a thought.. ;-) - and isn't cheek clappage a wonderful turn of phrase?!

Salla, I just peeped in there too - I'm a nosey git :---)

I like cheek clappage - the phrase, not the actual process as I am not entirely sure what it is. I don't think I have experienced it that often anyway.

And, yes, probably should be in Chatterbank but it encouraged me to venture into a different category
I have quite a lot of cheek clappage.

especially after eating brussel sprouts.
Parp, phufffff!
I've had cheek chappage - is that similar?

I have heard the term 'I bet that made your ar5e cheeks clap...' - cheek clappage must be the offical terminology for such an action.
Thanks science bods - another delightful expression for my repetoire.
smarvelous what you can acheive with a little effort.

I used to love Les Dawson.

Mainly cos he reminded me of my dad - especially when my dad pushed his false teeth halfway out his mouth and gurned. It used to frighten the kids though...

Les Dawson, god bless him. And wonderful at the piano. I bet he had plenty of cheek clappage in his time.

Salla, my grandad used to do that and chase us round the house! Sounds freaky when you say it out loud but it was very funny.

My husband's uncle does it to his grandchildren (must be something you learn at Grandad School) but last Summer his grandson, who was only 4, took them from his mouth and put them in the dog's mouth. I nearly peed myself watching an old man trying to prise his own teeth out of an alsation's mouth.
