My son has been stopped when he borrowed his mates car thinking that he was insured on his own comprehensive insurance, the inevitable happened and he was stopped and given a producer, when looking at his insurance although he has comprehensive cover it turns out that the insurance does not cover him for any other car, he should have read it, but just thought he was covered on a third party fire and theft basis, he has to take his insurance etc in, does anyone know what will happen?

Well talk about luck.. my son had to break the news to his mate who ownes the car that he has noticed on his ins. that he is not insured and his mate answered ' thats ok, i have trade/block insurance' !! as he is self employed builder, so all is ok... i think that my son has learned, well hopefully anyway, as he is chippy so needs to drive for his work, i dont know, kids! i'm sure i never gave my parents the kind of worry mine give me!
Given that your son needs his licence you would have thought he would be ore careful!!!

To get that many points so early on pretty much tells us that once again someone who shouldn't be allowed on our roads has got away with it!
